About Me
Hello! My name is Emma Ablao, and I am a Graphic Designer. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate at San Francisco State University with a BS in Visual Communication Design. I was born in San Jose, California. I graduated from Santa Teresa high school summa cum laude in 2021. I went to De Anza Community College for two quarters before transferring to San Francisco State University.
As a Visual Communication Design major, I have first-hand experience with many different aspects of design. Throughout my education, I was involved in projects where I needed to design, create, adapt, and learn. These experiences have taught me to think outside the box, make new connections, and not be afraid to try new things.
From my high school years to my education in college, I have learned and practiced using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and different types of media like illustration. Projects that I do in my major help me learn the importance and depth of color, typography, and storytelling and how they influence design. My skills enable me to create designs and ideas from my brain and bring them into reality with strong visual impact. My inspirations from real-life experiences and art that I see online helped influence me to be the designer I am today. I strive to create designs that will help people and influence them in a positive light.
